When we started out as a specialist for service numbers and value-added services back in 1998, there were around 6.6 million regular Internet users in Germany; today, there are 58 million.* Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was just 14 years old, and the idea that mobile telephones would one day be called smartphones and be controllable via digital speech recognition technology was just a pipe dream.

    The move to Dock 1 at the Mainz Zollhafen represents the start of a new era of networked working for dtms.

    dtms Group takes over sms.at

    Takeover of the Austrian messaging market leader sms.at by the dtms Group.

    Launch of the first online shop

    dtms launches the first online shop for 0800 numbers at www.dtms.de/0800.

    April
    Takeover by Paragon Partners

    The takeover of dtms GmbH by the private owner-managed holding company Paragon Partners is completed. Business will henceforth be conducted under the name dtms GmbH.

    Expansion of the customer dialogue solutions

    dtms significantly expands its portfolio with new solutions from Web Self Service and NetworkACD to a multichannel suite from the Cloud.

    January
    Expansion of the portfolio into other contact channels

    dtms includes a customer dialogue solution in its portfolio for the first time with a video and co-browsing application, which operates another contact channel besides the telephone.

    January
    Merger with mobileview

    mobileview GmbH, the Hamburg-based sister company specialising in SMS, messaging and mobile applications is merged with dtms.

  • 2005
    June
    D+S Europe takes over dtms

    After a long period of venture capital financing, the Hamburg-based D+S Group takes over dtms.

  • 2001
    February
    atms GmbH founded in Vienna

    as the Austrian branch based on the infrastructure operated in Germany.

  • 2000
    August
    dtms is in the black

    Just 2 years after its founding, the company is making a profit.

  • April
    Product launch of the first NetworkACD

    NetworkACD, a fully functional call centre system operated via the Internet, is launched. And with it, the foundations for another business segment are laid.

  • 1999
    February
    Launch of proprietary network

    and active operation.

    July
    Founding of dtms GmbH

    Jochen Fürbeth, Dr. Jörg B. Kühnapfel and Erich Rösch found dtms Deutsche Telefon- und Marketing Services GmbH in Mainz.
